Presentation

The ambition of the Mayotte Integrated Innovation Pole (PI²M) is to actively support innovation and sustainable development in Mayotte through two concrete lines of action and the scientific and technical support of a wide network.

Our mission

Activating synergies across the territory

Its objective is to activate synergies and stimulate innovation specific to Mayotte by running a network of local innovation and development stakeholders, within which PI²M supports sustainable development and scientific research topics.

Two dynamics

The green and the blue components

Two project dynamics highlight untapped local opportunities while preserving the precious ecosystem that characterises Mayotte:

  • the “Green” component, enhancing the terrestrial wealth of Mayotte economically and sustainably, with a particular focus on aromatic, perfume and medicinal plants;
  • the “Blue” component, enhancing the marine environment economically and sustainably, while maintaining and improving the health of its ecosystems.
An ecosystem

Public, private and research

PI²M operates within an ecosystem bringing together the public sector, the private sector and research. Closely linked to most local institutions, such as the Department of Mayotte, ADIM, the education authority, the Prefecture and Europe in Mayotte, PI²M also partners with private-sector stakeholders to offer them concrete development opportunities (funding watch, project management support, networking…).
